Frequently Asked Questions about becoming a PARS Licensed Trainer
“The training was well organized with both theories and practices, which enabled me to quickly understand the PARS module. The module does help adults to improve our understanding of children and play.”
Ying PENGHead of Right to Play China, Beijing
“The PARS module makes me reflect on our attitudes towards children. We, either as parents or teachers, claim that we love children, but actually we constantly interrupt them, stop them and even destroy them. After the field trip on the third day of the Masterclass, I was excited that so many adults are willing to accept and learn the PARS module and compensate children for the loss of the beauty of their childhood due to our adulteration. Playworker is a very meanful job.”
Rita ChenShanghai
“The PARS course gave me a new perspective on play, which emphasizes that children ought to play freely and by themselves to the greatest possible extent and that while child development is the benefit of play, it is not the aim of play. Now I will consciously avoid “adulteration” to children’s play and use PARS techniques to guide my decisions to contain or intervene. In China, we badly need such playwork practice for children, and I think it’s feasible in a variety of settings, be urban or rural, school or community, small or large space, indoor or outdoor.”
